The first question most people ask about a church is 'where does it meet?' Well, we are located in the Kansas City northland, but there's no sign by the road in front of a big church building. We quite literally meet in a house, probably a lot like your house.

You may be curious or nervous about visiting a house church.
Meeting in a house might seem strange to you. The fact is, it felt a little strange to us at first too! But you know what? We discovered that church feels great in a house. We have all the essentials that a church with a building provides - great people and God. So whether you've been a Christian for years, a brand new believer, or you don't know a thing about Jesus, much less what you believe about him, there's a seat for you! We want you to discover what we have. It's not the face of a building that matters, it's the people inside.

What kind of church is Levi's House?
Levi's House is non-denominational, but is formed out of mainstream Protestant ideals. Our pastors and members come from backgrounds such as Methodist, Baptist, and Presbyterian denominations. At our church, you will encounter Biblical teaching just as you would in these denominations. Read 'Our Beliefs' for a more complete answer to this question.

So, you meet in a house. Are you a cult?
Certainly not. You may be surprised to find that there is a fast growing number of house churches both in America and all over the world. For the first three-hundred years of Christianity's existence, worship was held exclusively in peoples' homes. Today, in religiously oppressive nations such as China, tens of thousands of Christians meet in homes in groups of one or two dozen, and the number grows daily.

In American cities and suburbs, great numbers of families are finding the joy of a small church in a house. People just like you find it is a wonderful nurturing environment to raise a family, make friends, and worship God.

What is the music like?

Where do the kids go?
We love children, and believe they reflect the heart of God. We encourage children to participate in worship, to sing songs with us, and have fun. When you bring your children to church, we are going to find out how to best serve your family.

Can I wear jeans?
Yes! Be comfortable.
